4. Cookies, analytics and advertising technologies

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website traffic and interactions. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies, including _ga and _ga_*, and collect device, browser, approximate location, referral and interaction data. Google explains its practices in its Privacy Policy. You can also use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Cloudflare

Cloudflare provides website delivery, security and web analytics. It may process IP address, request and device information, security signals and website performance data to deliver and protect the site. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Meta and Facebook advertising

When we run ads on Facebook or Instagram, Meta may provide us with aggregated campaign reports and information about actions taken after an ad click. If we enable Meta Business Tools such as the Meta Pixel or Conversions API, Meta may collect or receive information from this website, including page URL, referring URL, browser and device information, IP address, Meta cookies or click identifiers, and events such as page views or contact actions. Meta may use that information to provide measurement services and to target and deliver ads in accordance with the Meta Privacy Policy.

You can manage how Meta uses information for advertising in your Meta Ad Preferences. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser. Blocking cookies may affect site functionality or measurement. Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential cookies or advertising technologies, we will request that consent.

5. How we share information

We may share personal information only as reasonably necessary with:

  • Our affiliated companies, manufacturing facilities, project personnel and approved suppliers involved in your inquiry or project.
  • Service providers supporting website hosting and security, analytics, email, communications, scheduling, customer support, document storage, logistics, payments and professional advice.
  • Google, Cloudflare and, when advertising tools are enabled, Meta, as described above.
  • WhatsApp/Meta when you choose to contact us through WhatsApp, and Cal.com when you choose to schedule a meeting. Their own terms and privacy policies govern their independent processing.
  • Government authorities, regulators, courts or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety and security.
  • A buyer, investor or successor in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization or transfer of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information for money. Our use of some analytics or advertising technologies may be considered “sharing,” “targeted advertising” or a “sale” under certain U.S. state laws. Where those laws apply, you may request to opt out by contacting us.

6. International data transfers

Protek is based in China and works with customers and service providers internationally. Your information may therefore be processed in China, the United States and other countries where our affiliates or service providers operate. Data-protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or other lawful safeguards for cross-border transfers.

7. Data retention and security

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including the duration of an inquiry or project, normal business follow-up, warranty or quality matters, dispute resolution, recordkeeping and legal obligations. Retention periods vary depending on the type of record, the relationship and applicable law. We delete, anonymize or securely isolate information when it is no longer required.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information; restrict or object to processing; obtain a portable copy; withdraw consent; or opt out of marketing, targeted advertising, sale or sharing. You may also have the right to appeal a decision or complain to your local data-protection authority.

To exercise a right, email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Request.” Please describe your request and the country or region where you live. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a legal privacy right.
